Four bars, one ticket office and a single till close.
In a nightlife venue you take payment in the dark, with music and in a hurry, at several bars at once, and at the end you need to know what each one sold. Tenerife TPV, OK Computer's point-of-sale service, installs BDP, which has a version made for nightlife: bars, ticket office, and control of entries and drinks. It is the official BDP distributor and installs it in Tenerife and on the other islands, with VeriFactu and IGIC already configured.
Software and payment equipment Tenerife TPV installs in nightlife
What POS does a nightclub or pub use?
A nightclub or pub needs POS software that understands bars, ticket office and drinks included, and the one Tenerife TPV installs for that is BDP. BDP is one of the most complete point-of-sale programs around and has its own nightlife version, different from the restaurant one: it controls the entries sold at the door, the drinks they include and what each bar serves.
A small cocktail bar, with one bar and no ticket office, can work with Glop like any other bar. The dividing line is as soon as one of these three things appears: more than one bar taking payments at once, entry with a drink included, or an owner who wants to see the night's sales by bar and by waiter without waiting to count the drawers. From there on, BDP.
Tenerife TPV is the official BDP distributor and installs it on any of the Canary Islands. The installation is done by day, with the venue closed; products, rates and IGIC types are loaded beforehand at the Armeñime (Adeje) workshop, and the bar staff practise before the first night. For a business that makes nearly all its takings between Friday and Sunday, the Gold maintenance plan covers weekends and includes replacement of any equipment that fails.
What does the POS control in a nightlife venue?
Every point the money passes through in a night, from the ticket office to the last bar, seen from a single program.
Ticket office and entries
Entry is paid at the door from the same system and recorded with its ticket, like any other sale.
Several bars at once
Each bar has its own till point with the same products and prices, and at closing you know what each one sold.
Drinks included
BDP keeps track of the drinks tied to the entry, so what is served and what is charged match.
Cash with no counting at six in the morning
A smart cash drawer at each bar counts what goes in, gives the change and leaves the till balanced at closing.
One card terminal per bar
Linked to the POS: each card terminal knows which ticket it is charging and card payments don't get mixed up between bars.
The night's sales as they happen
Management sees what each point has sold while the venue is open, and if there is more than one room or venue, all of them together.
What happens if the nightclub's POS fails in the middle of the night?
There has to be someone on the phone and a spare unit. Tenerife TPV sets up the bar stations with cable, not Wi-Fi, and fits a UPS to each one for power cuts. And with the Gold plan, the same technician who did the installation also takes calls on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Till stations and printers connected by cable to a switch
- UPS that keeps the POS on for one to two hours without power
- Gold plan: weekend cover, unlimited visits and replacement of faulty equipment
- Double backup, on the device and in the cloud, checked

Common questions about the POS for nightclubs and pubs
Why BDP and not Glop for a nightclub?
Because Glop is designed for bars and restaurants, and BDP has a specific version for nightlife with bars, ticket office and drinks control. Tenerife TPV is the official distributor of both and recommends Glop for the simple cocktail bar and BDP as soon as there are several bars or ticket sales.
Can I find out how much each bar and each waiter has sold?
Yes. Each employee takes payment with their own login and each bar is a separate point of sale, so the close separates sales by bar, by person and by payment method.
Do entries sold at the door also go through VeriFactu?
Yes. An entry is a sale and its ticket is recorded just like a drink's. BDP is adapted to VeriFactu and Tenerife TPV configures it with the appropriate IGIC. The obligation starts on 1 January 2027 for companies and on 1 July 2027 for the self-employed.
Do you install outside Tenerife?
Yes. As the official BDP distributor, Tenerife TPV installs it on any of the Canary Islands. Preparation is done in Adeje and commissioning at the venue.
When is it installed so I don't lose a night?
Midweek and by day. Products and rates are loaded beforehand, the stations are set up and tested with the venue closed and the staff practise before opening. The first night already runs on the new system.
Can cameras be put over the bar tills?
Yes. The same OK Computer team installs them and, if you order everything together, it is coordinated in the same visit. That way you can check the recording for the exact moment of a doubtful payment.
Tell us what you sell and how you take payment: we'll tell you which system you need and what it costs.
No two venues are alike: a bar with a terrace, a greengrocer with scales or a chain of five shops need different things. We come and look, suggest only what you'll use and give it to you in writing with hardware, software, installation hours and IGIC. If it suits you better, visit our shop in Armeñime, Adeje.
Tailored, no-obligation quote. We reply Monday to Friday during shop hours. Tenerife TPV is OK Computer's point-of-sale brand (Dalmon Sistemas S.L.).
