Glop or Last.app for a restaurant?

Glop suits the restaurant that lives off its dining room and Last.app the one that lives off home delivery. Both are hospitality POS programs adapted to VeriFactu, and Tenerife TPV installs both, but they were born to solve different problems: Glop, to coordinate tables, handhelds and kitchen inside the venue; Last.app, to bring dining-room orders and those from Glovo, Uber Eats and Just Eat together on one screen. This guide compares the two point by point so you know which to ask for.

What is the difference between Glop and Last.app?

  • Where it runs. Glop is installed on a computer at the venue and stores the data there. Last.app works in the cloud and is used from a tablet, a phone or a computer with Windows, Android or iOS.
  • What it was made for. Glop, for the dining room: table plan, GlopDroid Android handhelds and printing by kitchen station. Last.app, for delivery: orders from the platforms go straight into the POS.
  • Stock. Last.app deducts what is sold in the dining room, for collection and for delivery from a single stock. Glop keeps track of sales made at the venue.
  • Online sales. Last.app comes with its own online shop for direct orders. With Glop, the digital QR menu and online orders are set up separately and linked to the software.
  • Other businesses. Glop also has versions for food retail, fashion and other shops; Last.app is only for restaurants and catering.

When does Glop suit you?

When the business is, above all, about serving tables. Glop is the program Tenerife TPV installs in almost all the bars and restaurants on the island: the waiter sees the tables on screen, notes each dish's variants on the handheld, each order comes out on its station's printer and the bill is split however the table wants. Closing the till takes a minute. Tenerife TPV is the official Glop distributor in Tenerife.

It is also the prudent option if the venue's internet connection is not good: because it is installed at the venue itself, the dining room keeps working even if the line goes down.

When does Last.app suit you?

When an important part of your sales comes through delivery platforms. The clearest sign is a counter full of tablets: one for Glovo, another for Uber Eats, another for Just Eat, and someone copying every order by hand into the POS. Last.app takes those orders directly, alongside dining-room and collection orders, and the kitchen receives them in the same order. Tenerife TPV suggests it to restaurants with a lot of delivery, to kitchens that only serve home delivery and to venues that cook for several brands.

What happens with each one if the internet goes down?

With Glop, the dining room carries on: the screen, handhelds and printers communicate inside the venue. Last.app, because it works in the cloud, depends more on the line, and platform orders can't come in without a connection in any program. That is why, wherever it installs Last.app, Tenerife TPV recommends a second, backup connection. In both cases the card terminal needs a connection, and one with 4G solves that point.

Do both comply with VeriFactu?

Yes. Glop and Last.app are adapted to VeriFactu, which becomes compulsory from 1 January 2027 for companies and from 1 July 2027 for the self-employed. What neither includes as standard is the Canary Islands IGIC on each product on your menu: Tenerife TPV does that configuration at installation, and it is where mistakes usually are.

And for card payments?

Both can be linked to a card terminal so that the amount goes across by itself. Glop also has its own service, Glop Pay, with a card terminal, payment from the waiter's phone or a QR code on the bill. With Dojo and Paytef, Tenerife TPV first checks which integration each program has. It is explained in the guide on integrated or standalone card terminal.

And if I do both, dining room and delivery?

Then decide which weighs more and which gives you more work today. If delivery is just a few orders a day, Glop with the dining room well covered is usually enough. If delivery is a large part of your takings and orders are copied by hand, Last.app removes that work. Tenerife TPV has Glop installed in its shop in Adeje and demonstrates Last.app on a tablet: the most useful thing is to see both with your own menu in front of you.

And BDP or Sysme?

They are the other two options Tenerife TPV installs. BDP fits nightlife and groups with several venues run from a head office; Sysme, the bar or café that also sells over the counter with scales or a barcode reader. The comparison of all four is in POS software.

Tenerife TPV, OK Computer's point-of-sale service, installs Glop and Last.app in restaurants across Tenerife and recommends one or the other according to how you sell, not according to what each manufacturer pays. Ask for a demo or WhatsApp on 608 99 15 38.

Tell us what you sell and how you take payment: we'll tell you which system you need and what it costs.

No two venues are alike: a bar with a terrace, a greengrocer with scales or a chain of five shops need different things. We come and look, suggest only what you'll use and give it to you in writing with hardware, software, installation hours and IGIC. If it suits you better, visit our shop in Armeñime, Adeje.
